About Missoula
Missoula is Montana's second largest city surrounded by natural beauty with a plethora of outdoor recreation opportunities. Three rivers converge on the city of 40,000, and whitewater rafting, kayaking and fly-fishing are popular summer activities. You can hike to the nearby Rattlesnake Wilderness from downtown, and the city is full of bikers, hikers, skiers and floaters. The economy is supported by healthcare, small businesses, the railroad, government agencies and The University of Montana. Located in western Montana and adjacent to Interstate 90, Missoula in nestled against the Idaho border and is located 140 miles south of Glacier National Park and 300 miles from Yellowstone National Park, which is about a four-hour drive southeast.
