SATURDAY, JUNE 21

Partners and Spouses Welcome
2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Cost: Free!

Join us in the Partners and Spouses Lounge, Room 1258, for snacks and friendship. Visit with old friends, and meet and greet new ones. Find out what opportunities are available to you throughout the conference.


SUNDAY, JUNE 22

Experience the Missouri River
12:15 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Cost: $50 based on a minimum of 25 people; includes transportation, lunch/beverages & riverboat cruise

Get ready for a delicious lunch at Meriwether’s Landing, a locally owned restaurant on the banks of the Missouri River. Visit and catch-up with friends while you savor the flavor of their “Dakota-style” American cuisine. After that, prepare to board the Lewis & Clark Riverboat, voted the 2006 ND Tourist Attraction of the Year. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings, sounds of nature, and breathtaking scenery as you relax and cruise up and down the Missouri River. On the way back to the hotel we will swing into the Bismarck-Mandan Visitor Center where you can pick up local information and shop in the Genuine Dakota Gift Shop - you will be sure to find that perfect Pride of Dakota gift you are hoping to take home.

  • Leave Ramkota at 12:15 pm
  • Meriwether’s Landing - Eat & visit at 12:30 pm
  • Board Riverboat at 2 pm
  • Cruise 2:30 – 4 pm
  • After cruise, they return to Ramkota via CVB Gift Shop
  • Return by 5 pm


MONDAY, JUNE 23

Downtown Walking Tour of Bismarck, North Dakota’s Capitol City
11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $40 based on a minimum of 10; includes lunch/beverage, jewelry making, & cheesecake/beverage.
*Approximately 30 blocks of walking throughout the afternoon

Put on your walking shoes and head out from the Ramkota Hotel & make your way to Fiesta Villa Restaurant & Lounge, a wonderful locally owned Mexican restaurant located in the historic Northern Pacific Santa Fe Railroad Depot. Order off the lunch menu, sit out on the patio, sip on some lemonade and enjoy the afternoon. After that, we’ll head out on a guided walking tour of downtown Bismarck. Get your creative juices flowing at Urban Girl Jewelry & Beads, “the funky little shop that’s worth the stop!” You will each receive a kit to make some jewelry - you will also have the option to purchase more beads when you are there. Assistants will help you make a great piece to take home and remind you of the wonderful time you had in Bismarck & Mandan. Just before heading back to the hotel, we’ll swing into Mr. Delicious Cheesecake where you can pick from an amazing assortment of cheesecakes & desserts and grab a drink to quench your thirst. If time permits, and you wish, you can stop into other local shops and galleries on your own as you make your way back to the Ramkota.


TUESDAY, JUNE 24

Historic Tours
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Cost: $20 based on a minimum of 20 people; includes transportation, tours & ND snack items gift bag.

Get ready for a morning of great North Dakota history as you head to the State Capitol and tour the “skyscraper on the prairie.” Known for its art deco design, at the capitol you will learn all about the state’s past, present & future. After that you will head to the ND Heritage Center, which serves as the state’s history museum, and houses the state’s archives. Don’t forget to visit the Glass Box gift store for some last minute ND items to take home. You will each receive a ND snack items gift bag with snacks & water to get you by until lunch and the partners and spouses afternoon tea. Then you’re off to the Former Governors’ Mansion, which served as the home to the ND governors from 1893 – 1960.
