“World Of Outdoors” Benefit Auction

We’re excited about OWAA’s annual “World Of Outdoors” benefit auction, which will be held in Lake Charles, La., at OWAA’s 79th conference. We’ll be dedicating an area to an ongoing silent auction, with new items added daily to keep interest high.

To make this auction successful, we need your donations. Our auction is a unique opportunity to showcase your products before the top outdoor communicators in America, and donations are fully tax-deductible.

At recent OWAA conferences, items given away via the raffle include Thule car carriers, kayaks, fishing gear, guns and outdoor apparel and much more. Raffle tickets are available prior to conference at a discount. You can buy raffle tickets when you send in conference registration forms. If you buy 100 tickets before the early registration deadline of May 3, you will pay only $165. Raffle tickets also will be sold at conference for $5 apiece. Stack the deck in your favor to win great stuff! (Need not be present to win. No refunds.) The raffle ticket purchase form is on the individual members conference registration form, or see page 28 of the March OU.

Conference Mentors Needed

OWAA members in good standing are needed to help make the first conference of fellow members as successful as possible. We’ll hook you up with the first-timer. All you need to do is contact the chairman of the Mentor Committee, Jay Cassell (45 Sunny Ridge Rd., Katonah, NY 10536, 914-232-2933, jhcassell@aol.com) and let him know you would like to participate in the program.

First-Time Attendees Welcome

For those of you who have not yet attended a conference, you are missing out on perhaps the greatest benefit of OWAA membership. Knowing the ropes can help you maximize the benefits of your first conference. If you would like an experienced attendee to help ease you into and through your first conference please contact Jay Cassell.

“I just wanted to drop a note to say what a wonderful day we at The Sportsman Channel had for our clay-shooting outing at OWAA’s conference in Madison, Wis. It went better than perfect! Everyone had a great time shooting clays and getting to know all. I hope the conference went just as smooth for everyone. Again, thank you for distributing our invitation and supporting our outing. We look forward to working more with the OWAA in the future!”
